L'Abeille Long Necklace

This necklace boasts a 30" chain with a coin pendant featuring l'abeille and fleur de lis engravings, crafted from Cast Zinc Alloy. The coin and bezel have a sophisticated matte finish, while the chain displays alternating bee and stag designs in matte gold, matte gunmetal, and burnished silver. In addition, this piece is free from lead and nickel.

A piece with true history and meaning, the L’Abeille Heritage Coin Necklace features a pendant inspired by the “Compagnies d’Assurances L’Abeille 1956” commemorative medal—created to celebrate the French company’s 100th anniversary. Far more than a circulating coin, this design was a symbol of endurance, wisdom, and community.

✨ Historical Details:

• Originally struck in 1956 to mark the company’s centenary (1856–1956).

• Designed by French engraver Raymond Delamarre

• The front is adorned with a field of bees, representing the company’s name (L’Abeille means “the bee”), surrounded by the cities where the company thrived: Paris, Brussels, Milan, Montreal, Madrid, and London.

• The reverse is the fleur-de-lis symbol, which is not part of the original coin.
